2026 THE GREAT NOBLESVILLE DUCK RACE
The Great Noblesville Duck Race is one of the most beloved community traditions in downtown Noblesville and a signature fundraising event supporting Noblesville Main Street. Each year, hundreds of bright yellow rubber ducks are “adopted” by participants and released into the White River for a lively race to the finish line. Every duck represents a chance to win prizes while also supporting programs that strengthen downtown Noblesville.
The event brings together families, local businesses, and visitors for a fun, high-energy day filled with entertainment, community spirit, and friendly competition. Proceeds from duck adoptions help fund Noblesville Main Street initiatives including downtown beautification, local events, small business support, and programs that enhance the vitality of the historic square.
Whether you adopt a single duck or a whole flock, the Duck Race is a playful way to support downtown Noblesville while enjoying one of the community’s most unique and memorable events.

Noblesville Street Dance
The Noblesville Street Dance is a large, free community celebration & is one of downtown’s signature summer traditions. Typically held on the Historic Noblesville Square, during the Embrace Noblesville construction we are temporarily moving this event to Federal Hill Commons. Organized by Noblesville Main Street, Street Dance transforms downtown into a lively community celebration filled with live music, food and drink, local makers and vendors, and experiences for all ages. With an average crowd of 8,000 attendees, it serves as a high-energy showcase of downtown Noblesville’s vibrancy, local partnerships, and community spirit.
For someone who has never attended, here is what you can expect:
The Atmosphere
"Midwestern Summertime Vibe": The event is known for its high energy and family-friendly environment.
Community Connection: It serves as a gathering spot for all generations—from families with young children to "empty-nesters"—to reconnect and meet neighbors.
Crowd & Space: While it draws thousands, the historic downtown setting provides a scenic backdrop for the "endless night" of activities.
Key Activities
Live Music & Dancing: A main stage features local and regional bands playing various genres, from pop and rock hits to jazz and country.
Family Fun Zone: A dedicated area for kids typically includes bounce houses, face painting, balloon twisting, and sometimes a "Touch-A-Truck" experience with farm and emergency vehicles.
Contests: Attendees can participate in or watch dance contests (categorized by age) and the popular ice cream eating competition.
Food & Shopping: Local restaurants and food trucks offer a "Taste of Noblesville," and many downtown shops stay open late or move their merchandise onto the sidewalks.
Beer & Spirit Garden: Adults can usually find a dedicated area for local craft beers and cocktails.
Pro-Tips for First-Timers
What to Bring: Many guests bring blankets and lawn chairs to set up near the stage, though be aware that outside alcohol is typically not allowed.
Parking: Attendance and parking are free, but spots near the square fill up quickly; in some years, shuttle rides have been provided from nearby areas like Forest Park.
Timing: The main festivities usually run from early evening (around 5:00 or 6:00 PM) until 11:00 PM.
